Lakshmi Ji's Liberation

 It is said that Shri Lakshmi Ji was in bondage along with all the gods in King Bali's prison. On this day, on Kartik Krishna Amavasya, Lord Vishnu JI took the form of Vaman and freed them from bondage. As soon as they were freed from bondage, all the gods went to sleep in the Ksheer Sagar with Bhagwati Shri Lakshmi Ji. 

Therefore, on Kartik Krishna Amavasya, beautiful new idols of Lord Ganesha and Bhagwati Lakshmi Ji are worshipped. beautiful arrangement are made for their sleeping, so that they do not go to the Ksheer Sagar and remain respected in their home.
