  •  Lineage of Lord Brahma: Frm the Seed of Creation to the Tree of Life

In Hinduism, Lord Brahma is revered as the creator of the universe. He holds a central position among the holy trinity - brahma, vishnu, and shiva. Out of the three gods, Brahma is the one who created this universe. But it is worth noting that Brahma is worshipped much less then other gods. There are some interesting mythological stories behind this.
According to one story, Brahma cast an evil eye on his own manas Putri Saraswati, due to which the gods did not consider him worthy of worship. Another story tells that Lord shiv sent Brahma and Vishnu to find the boundary of the universe. Vishnu accepted the truth, while Brahma told a lie, due to which Shiva cursed him that he would not be worshipped.
The only major temple of brahma Ji is located in pushkar, Rajasthan. Many people confuse 'Brahma' , whth 'Brahma', while 'brahma' refers to the Supreme being.
According to the Puranas, brahma Ji created Manas Putras from various body parts: Marichi from the mouth, Pulastya Bhrigu from the skin, Vashishtha from the life breath, Daksha from the thumb, Kandharbha from the shadow, Narada from the lap and Sanaka, Sanandana, sanatana, Sanatkumara from the wish. chitragupt was born from meditation.
These first sons of Brahma - Sanaka, Sanandana, Sanatana and Sanatkumara - did not show interest in creation and started searching for Brahma Tatva. Brahma was extremely angry with this dispassionate life and from this anger Rudra was born. Rudra appeared in the form of ardhanarishwar at that time, which brahma divided into two parts - the male was called 'ka' and the female was called 'ye'.
Brahma than created Swayambhu Manu and Shatarupa from of Rudra. Priyavrata, Uttanapada, Akooti and Prasuti were born them. Akuti was married to Ruchi and Prasuti was married to Daksha.
From the union of Daksha and Prasuti, 24 daughters were born whose names were: Shraddha, Lakshmi, Pushti, Dhriti, Tusti, Riddhi and Kirti etc. Out of these, Thirteen daughters were married to Dharma. other daughters were married to Bhrigu, Shiva, Marichi, Angira, Pulastya, pulaha, Kriti, Atri, Vashishtha, vahv and Pitras.
From these children, the development journey of the entire creation began.
This story of brahma Ji's lineage is not just a genealogy, but also shows how every creatiove power is born for some divine purpose. Every character represents a particular dimension of creation.
