🙏Personality of Buddha 🙏

We do not get much direct information about the personality of Lord Buddha, but whatever information is available, it clarifies his unique and incomparable nature. Even his opponents and critics were forced to accept that Buddha was the owner of a very attractive, radiant and charming personality. Everyone was easily impressed by his beauty, his radiant radiance and well-built physique. It is mentioned in the Lakhna-Sutta of the Dighanikaya that like other Buddhas, Lord Buddha was also endowed with thirty-two great characteristics. These characteristics can only be attained by a Chakravarti emperor or Buddha himself. Among these, his black and beautiful eyes, long and well-shaped tongue, and arms whose palms reached the knees are especially noteworthy.

Special qualities are also mentioned in relation to Buddha's speech. Eight types of characteristics have been considered in his speech-fluent speed, clarity and intelligibility, sweetness, audible clarity, deep seriouness, complete clarity, deep seriousness and finally such a sweet effect that creater a wave of joy in the heart of the listener.

Lord Buddha used to address eight types of congregations - noble people, scholars and acharyas, householders, monks, gods of Tavatins loka, gods of Mara and other higher lokas. His speech and thoughts were so profound and impressive that every class would get inspired by his preaching.

His daily life was extremely disciplined and restrained. In the morning, he would usually get up very early, finish his daily chores and meditate and contemplate for some time in solitude. After that, wearing the outer robes, he would set out for alms either with a large group of monks or sometimes alone. When he went for alms alone, he would close the door of his hut himself so that no disturbance would arise. It is also believed that sometimes he would go for a walk with such monks, whose all the Asravas had been exhausted, in a very calm manner.

On returning from alms, he would first wash his feet and then discuss meditation, sadhana and Dharma with the monks Sometimes he would impart special teachings to them, and somtimes he would solve their queries. Whenever he got time, he would take a short rest, but he would spend most of his time in meditation and preaching. With his divine singht, he would also see which living being was worthy of accepting Dharma.

In the evening, he would take a bath and then teach the monks the right path till the first quarter of the night. In the second quarter of the night, he would preach to the gods and in the last quarter, he would often be absorbed in chakramana or deep meditation. Only after that, he would sleep for some time. The next day, early in the morning, he would againg observe with his divine eyes which person was worthy of receiving religious teachings. Thus, his entire life was dedicated to religious preaching, meditation and welfare of humanity.
